Garment Measurements (UK Size)

The measurements given in the size chart are the garment fit, not your body.
Compare your measurements to the size chart to see how loose or tight the item will be on your body.

HOW TO MEASURE

Take your actual body measurements in underwear, rather than measuring over your clothes, to get an accurate result.

Use a soft / flexible tape measure, and measure the following.

  1. Bust: Measure under the arms at the fullest part around the bust horizontally.
  2. Waist: Measure around the natural waistline.
  3. Hips: With the feet together, measure around the fullest part.

PRO TIPS TO ENSURE THE CORRECT SIZE

For relaxed and loose fit garments you want the Garment Measurement to be loose on your body.
Hold the tape measure around you in front of the mirror, and check if the amount of space between your body and the measuring tape looks like what you'd like to wear.

Approx. 10 cm / 4" larger than your waist measurement will avoid the garment clinging to your body.

For oversized and volume fits, you can go 20 cm / 8" larger than your waist for an oversized fit, and even more for extremely voluminous fits.

For fitted garments, the garment measurement would be similar to your body measurement.

For a tight fit and stretchy garments like leggings, you want the waist and hip measurements to be around 2-4cm / 1-2" tighter than your body measurement to avoid a saggy fit.

Check the Size & Fit info box for more details on fit.
